Our Story
Our story began in 2014 when we worked together at SciQuest on several projects. Our lives and careers changed but our paths continued to cross over the next few years. Fast forward to 2018 when I decided to pursue a date with Becky via text. This was a long process with replies such as “I lost my phone, who is this?” to no reply at all, but I kept the texts coming every few months. Becky finally agreed to a lunch in the spring of 2019, and we have been inseparable since.
On a beautiful June day last year after a perfect day on the beach at Ocean Isle, we stopped to watch the sunset at one of our favorite spots. Becky was ready to get to dinner, but I had other ideas. I pulled the ring out of my pocket that I had been carrying around all weekend and proposed. She said YES! The idea of spending forever with my person is the most exciting and comforting thing all wrapped up into one.
We’re both so grateful to our children, our community, and YOU for your love and support over the past five years. We can’t wait to give you all a night of fun, food, dancing, drinks, and love – which hopefully none of us will ever forget.
